Notes

Putting everything I've worked on recently to use here - arcs, isometric perspective, typesetting, and fonts made in inkscape.

I initially intended to request my medical records from a decade ago to figure out what form of Aphasia I was dealing with, but opted to instead generalize it. I doubt our intrepid... internal investigator? (that seems to be an odd choice for a digitization facilitator) would know the differences between them, anyways.

This "atmospheric" style of story telling is more fun than I anticipated, so I'm busy revamping some of the upcoming page scripts to lean into it.

A bank of switches is visible, numbered 7 through 2. All of the visible switches are in the off position. Switch number 6 is labelled "زیربرنامه", the Farsi word for "subroutine".

Below the bank of switches is a coffee mug with the label "Terran Research Service, Fleet Director's Internal Investigation Task Force".

The final object in the scene is a notecard headlined as "Rae 1023", with the following handwritten text:

OS-1: Personal memory wipe is incomplete; subject showed distress about being unable to remember former coworker’s name. Seems undistressed about being digitized.

OS-2: Some form of Aphasia present, likely as a result of TBI. Given favorable OS-1, going to try to temporarily skip to OS-6 and walk through creating a dictionary scanning subroutine to help with word finding.
